Aubrey obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Washington State University, while working at a BRS program with youth in Foster care. Through this experience, Aubrey decided to apply to the Social Work program, hoping to learn more about navigating complex social systems, and the ways that these systems impact mental health. In 2024, she graduated with her Masters in Social Work at Portland State University, with a focus on children, youth, and families. Aubrey values the role that family plays in adolescents’ lives, and finds importance in including the family system throughout the therapeutic process. She employs various modalities, including Play-Based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Narrative Therapy. Aubrey strives to remain client centered, utilizes a collaborative approach, and contextualizes clients within the systems that they are situated in. She finds that, first and foremost, it is critical to meet folks where they are at, and to honor the strengths that they bring with them – from the very first meeting and throughout the entire therapeutic relationship.
